This is the year of Wanderlust and as you may know Squaw Valley is rapidly approaching!
We’re heading out on a family vacation prior to being Tahoe bound. These means one of two things I have to pack for a family vacation and Tahoe all at the same time. It’s going to be a tight squeeze coming back the eve before I leave but I’ll manage.
I am a self-identified over-preparer. When we go somewhere for the weekend, I over pack. When we go camping, I over pack. I’m notorious and it drives me crazy. Now that I have a family to pack for you can imagine the extras we don’t even look at that we lug around the states with.
I made myself a vow to NOT do that for Wanderlust. I mean, what does a girl really need?
Even though we’re checking our luggage, it’s yoga, I shouldn’t need a giant bag, right? A carryon should be plenty room. The first go round of packing I failed getting everything packed. By failed, I mean, I almost needed two GIANT bags. Round 2-6 didn’t fair much better.
After chatting with multiple people on necessities this is what I packed:
- Yoga outfit for each day (4)
- Sundress (1)
- Shorts (2)
- Tanks / T-shirt’s (5)
- Swimsuit & cover (1)
- Pjs (1)
- Plane outfit (Jeans, hiking sandals, Tank & flannel)
I’m going to pack a yoga outfit, mat and some other essentials in my carryon for just in case.
I’m packing light on purpose, I want room for things I purchase there. Not to mention some souvenirs for the men waiting for me at home!
I’ll keep you posted on things I didn’t pack that I should have and things I did pack that I didn’t use. Until then, you’ll find me packing, unpacking, re-packing on repeat until go time.
Loves of love!
Jes xoxo
