Persevering

This morning I had a heavy heart.  A two pounds heavier heart than I had last week, which made weighing in a difficult thing to take this beautiful chilly morning.  I was letting myself get disappointed when I realized something.  This is not a quick fix.  This not something a band-aid will fix, THIS is a lifestyle change.  The bumps along the road should be recognized, welcome then climbed over because success is on the other side.

I will persevere.

My day keeps getting brighter as the seconds tick away.  I chatted with my accountability partner and she made me feel SO much better.  This morning I didn’t want to work out.  I was going to just rest and relax but Mari put everything into perspective.  You can’t be upset, when you put in the work the results will show, even if it is eventually.

The sun shined a little brighter when I checked my email this morning.  #SweatPink is doing a 30 day yoga challenge!  The Sweat Pinkers put together a little mad lib action and here’s my response:

  • When I think about yoga, the first thought that comes to mind is being present. Yoga centers me and makes me feel free.
  • That’s why I am SO excited to participate in prAna’s Take The Leap 30 days of Yoga Challenge with Sweat Pink. I plan to Bridge (yoga pose) my way to a more flexible and free 2015!
  • For me, the biggest challenge when it comes to yoga is balance. Taking the Leap with prAna and Sweat Pink is a great way for me to face/ conquer / achieve / find time to be present and balance everyday life.
  • My favorite place to yoga is lakeside because it is so calming.

And finally the brightest part of my day…it also has to do with a #sweatpink challenge.  Yesterday doing the #noexcuses challenge we were to find a workout partner and complete a 20 min sweat session.  I had planned to workout with my little ones but by the time we did dinner and their dad got home it was well past their bed time.  My husband has been working some mad overtime this week so he was also exhausted.  By the time I actually had time to work out my normal partners were all sleeping!  It’s a #noexcuses challenge so I couldn’t bail just because I was flying solo.  I snapped a selfie with my workout partner @bodyrocktv_lisamarie.  I tagged her in the Instagram post and killed a workout to one of her YouTube videos.  Check their channel out here.

This morning she not only started following me on Instagram but she also commented on my post AND posted about me on Twitter, linking me to their tumblr page!!

I love the BodyRock team and turn to them a LOT for a good quick workout.  I’ve purchased a few pieces of equipment from them as well and use them daily.  I <3 BodyRockers.

A pretty eventful day.  As nap time wraps up, I think I’ll browse the BodyRockers You Tube videos and get ready to kill it!
